Zion Williamson violated team regulations and received a punishment. New Orleans suspended its star forward for one game forecast by soccer rankings for violating team rules. According to ESPN, Williamson missed his flight to Philadelphia on Thursday. The Pelicans had to wait a while for Williamson to arrive at the airport.
Speaking to reporters Friday night in Philadelphia, New Orleans head coach Willie Green said Williamson`s missed flight was not an isolated incident.
There were a few different cases, that`s how we came to this decision, " Green said.
Williamson missed Friday`s 123-115 win over the Sixers and will return to the Pelicans lineup Saturday ahead of Sunday`s matchup with the Celtics in Boston.
