Magnussen has spoken out about his future in light of Hulkenberg`s departure from Haas.
The Dane noted that he would not be against the arrival of Ferrari junior Oliver Berman to Haas, but at the same time he would hardly be interested in the role of a nanny for the young debutant.
At the same time, Magnussen did not rule out the possibility that he himself could leave Haas and continue his career in another team.
Actually, I`m not on our site to take care of small children. This is what I do at home. I hope the guy gets a seat in an F1 car and turns out to be a competent, professional and consistent driver - which is Nico Hulkenberg. And let`s see if I myself will be behind the wheel of the second Haas car.
To be honest, I actually thought that Niko and I would perform together again next year - it seemed quite likely to me. I wish Nico all the best [at Sauber and later Audi] and for now we will continue to stay focused and enjoy this season and try to continue to progress as a team.
Does this move improve my chances of renewing my contract with Haas? May be. Although I think the situation in the driver market remains open, there are still vacancies in many teams, " Magnussen said.
